Plan how your fabric will be used before you cut. Enter the fabric width and length, then one piece per line as name | length | width | quantity, and the tool estimates the total piece area, the fabric area and the utilization. This is an approximate layout estimate, not a quote — it does not solve a true nesting layout, so directional fabric, pattern repeats and grain still need checking by hand. How to Use the Fabric Cutting Planner
Choose your units, enter the fabric width and length, then one piece per line as name | length | width | quantity. Press Plan layout to see the piece area, fabric area, utilization and leftover.
What it accounts for
Each piece area is length times width, times its quantity.
Utilization is the total piece area as a share of the fabric area.
The leftover area shows how much fabric is not used by the pieces.
Planning tips
Utilization above about 80% is tight; below 60% you likely have room for more. This is an approximate estimate, not a quote, so lay your pieces out on the fabric or paper before cutting.

Results are approximate layout estimates, not a quote. The tool does not solve a true nesting layout, so check directional fabric, pattern repeats and grain on the real fabric before cutting.
